The Green Waves is hiring immediately for XL helpers. This is a full-time package helper position that will support oversized Amazon package delivery.

Job Summary:
The Truck Driver Helper assists the truck driver in the transportation and delivery of goods. This role involves helping with loading and unloading shipments, ensuring that delivery schedules are met, and assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle. The Truck Driver Helper works closely with the driver to ensure that operations run smoothly, while adhering to company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading goods onto and off the truck, ensuring that cargo is securely placed for safe transport.
- Support Driver: Provide navigation assistance and help the driver follow the most efficient and safest routes to destinations.
- Customer Interaction: Assist in communicating with customers during deliveries, ensuring they receive their items in good condition, and addressing any delivery-related concerns.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and general upkeep of the truck. Report any vehicle issues to the driver or supervisor.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of proper lifting techniques and securing of cargo to avoid accidents or damage.
- Timely Deliveries: Work with the driver to ensure that delivery schedules are met without compromising safety
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE?
- Must be at least 19 years old.
- Authorized to work in Canada.
- Must pass a background check Screening
- Language: Must be able to communicate in English or French.
- Ability to lift heavy items
- Valid Driver’s License: Preferred
Our hiring process takes approximately 1 - 2 weeks to COMPLETE, which includes completing an interview, a pre-employment drug test and DOT physical, onboarding steps, and training.
Work Environment:
- Mostly on the road or in delivery settings, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Heavy lifting and physical exertion required.
