Position Summary

The Training Application Specialist’s main responsibility is the ongoing training and support of corporate service applications, specifically those used by field technicians in material handling industry. To help on-board and implementation of the In house App for Technicians across GTA and Canada.

Specific Accountabilities

Application Training

Coordinates and conducts in-house employee training for applications used for daily business transactions.

Training will be conducted in a variety of methods including in-person, over the phone, online, e-mail, or via pre-made training material.

Different types of training will include:
- New Employee Training
- New Application Training for Existing Employees

- Revised Application Procedures for Existing Employees

- Refresher Application Training for Existing Employees

Application Support

Available as a first line of support for application usage related questions. Will provide phone, e-mail, and in-person support to all employees.

Will work closely with IT support personnel to trouble-shoot application related issues.

Will consult departmental subject matter experts where applicable to assist with problems.

Will consult and work with outside application vendors on issues outside of company’s internal support scope.

Application Development

Will be involved in all application development projects to ensure an understanding of business decisions for applications.

Applications include but are not limited to:

- EveryWare Service

- ELC
- In house application portals

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience

Completion of college diploma or equivalent education proficiency and/or 3 years’ experience in a training/teaching role.

Working Conditions

The Corporate Application Specialist will work out of an office environment, where a computer will be used for sustained periods. High levels of visual effort and regular levels of manual dexterity and concentration are required.

Extended travel for in-person training will be required during the initial roll out of the EveryWare Service application. This may take 1-2 years to complete. Coverage includes Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic provinces.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 /year

  • IT system knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)
