Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progression of building activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with hand tools, carpentry, or general construction is required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry and develop a broad skill set.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including unloading materials and equipment
- Support carpenters, heavy equipment operators, and other tradespeople in their tasks
- Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, and drills, to perform various duties
- Assist with demolition, material handling, and site cleanup to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic construction equipment
- Knowledge of construction processes including carpentry, excavation, and renovatons
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Willingness to learn new skills such as heavy equipment operation
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
