Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PART TIME Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice for 1-2 days a week with potential to further increase the days. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality dental care and a commitment to patient satisfaction. This role involves working collaboratively with our team to deliver comprehensive dental services, including preventative, restorative, and pediatric dentistry. The Associate Dentist will play a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience and ensuring optimal oral health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental examinations and diagnoses for patients of all ages.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, and preventive care.
- Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and preferences.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software systems.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient office operations.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures within the practice.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Licence to practice in Alberta.
- Experience or knowledge in pediatrics is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients and team members.
- A compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on building long-term relationships.
