Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer with CAD experience to join our team full time. The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of hands-on computer-aided design experience and a solid understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and precision components.
Duties
- Design and develop mechanical fixtures, components and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for production intent
- Collaborate with staff and manufacturing team to ensure design feasibility
- Revise and improve existing designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability
- Maintain accurate documentation, BOMs, and revision control
- Participate in design concepts, prototyping and validation
- Download and convert CAD models
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in mechanical design
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of GD&T and mechanical drafting standards
- Experience with machining, fabrication, or precision tooling preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred
- Experience in fixture gauge design or inspection equipment
- Familiarity with quality control or metrology concepts
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining and assembly
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
