Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and eager Automotive Shop Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their mechanic skills. The apprentice will work closely with experienced technicians to learn the fundamentals of vehicle servicing while assisting with various repair tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanics with diagnosing and repairing vehicles
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform basic maintenance and repair tasks
- Support in performing routine inspections, oil changes, brake repairs, and tire rotations
- Learn to identify mechanical issues and communicate findings effectively
- Help with heavy lifting and moving automotive parts or equipment as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during daily operations
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge or interest in automotive repair
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Previous mechanic experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided
- Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
