UCSH is looking for a full time L2 Low Voltage Technician position. This position requires to travel in British Columbia.
WHAT’S THE JOB ABOUT?
Reporting to L3 Low Voltage Technician and the Managing Director, Integrated Solutions, B.C., the L2 Low Voltage Technician will be responsible for installing Automatic Door Operators and other electronic devices on the job sites. The candidate requires to have proven organizational skills and time management skills in collaborating with different parties in supporting the assigned projects.
Some of the work you will do, but not limited to:
- Install, maintain and repair low voltage systems including access control systems, electronic devices and automatic door operators
- Expert in installing swing Auto Door Operator
- Adept on the integration of Electronic Door Hardware and Auto Door Operator
- Expert on low voltage termination
- Perform all required installation tasks for assigned projects, include but not limited to pulling cable and wiring
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan system installations
- Troubleshoot and test installed systems to ensure proper functionality
- Provide technical support to stakeholders on system operation and maintenance
- Travel to various job sites within B.C.
- Other duties as assigned
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU WHO HAS:
- 2 - 3 years of experience working with low voltage system installation
- Deep understanding of sequencing relays and isolation relays
- Good knowledge of electrical systems
- Familiar with construction industry
- Ability to read low voltage diagram, blueprints and schematics
- Able to work on a ladder
- Excellent working knowledge of using basic hand tools and power tools
- Able to do heavy lifting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially in excel
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle, and comfortable to drive to different job sites
- Strong organizational and time management skills
