Overview
We are seeking a reliable Attic Insulation Installer with experience to join our team.
The successful candidate will work on attic projects involving blown-in cellulose and fiberglass insulation, attic preparation, baffle installation, air sealing, hatch upgrades, and job-site cleanup. This position requires practical attic insulation experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in confined and physically demanding spaces.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well with a crew, and can complete projects efficiently while protecting the customer’s home.
Duties
- Install blown-in cellulose and fiberglass insulation to specified R-values
- Operate insulation blowing equipment and run hoses from the truck to the attic
- Measure and prepare attic spaces for insulation installation according to project specifications
- Use hand tools such as caulking guns, utility knives, and insulation blowers to install insulation materials effectively
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of work areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and maintain high-quality standards
- Follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment during all phases of installation
Requirements
- Prior hands-on attic insulation installation experience.
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, caulking, and basic construction techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in confined attic spaces
- Physical stamina to lift materials, kneel, crawl, and work in tight spaces for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Assets
- Experience with insulation removal and attic air sealing
- Working at Heights certification
- WHMIS certification
- Experience installing batt insulation and vapour barriers
