We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Shop Mechanic to join our maintenance team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of med-heavy equipment, trailers and vehicles. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles. Some work is seasonally based.
- Diagnose electrical/mechanical issues using manuals and electrical testing tools as needed; execute repairs promptly.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrication as needed to restore equipment functionality.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery components.
- Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance procedures and assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate gear.
- Maintain detailed service records.
- Collaborate with other production team members to prioritize repairs at hand.
- Shop hours are flexible to accommodate service/repair demand.
Skills
- Proven experience working as a mechanic in a setting with familiarity in med-heavy machinery/vehicle repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including hydraulic, electrical, engine diagnostics, and structural components.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices for effective repairs.
- Ability to perform vehicle lifting safely during maintenance/repair tasks.
- Effective communication skills with other team members regarding repairs or maintenance needs.

Pay: $25.00-$37.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
