Overview:
Our GTA Family Office service team is growing, and we are looking to hire a Senior Consultant, Family Advisory Services, to deliver exemplary service to our multi-family office clients.
This role will be accountable for supporting the GTA Family Office team in delivering Business and Family Enterprise strategy, planning, technology deployment and practice development.
The candidate will support the Family Office team in the overall productivity and effectiveness of the practice and will foster close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with key stakeholders (Partners/ senior leaders across different service lines, business unit leaders, external service providers and team members in marketing, finance, information technology and human resources).
The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset, attention to details, an entrepreneurial spirit, a high bar for client service excellence along with a passion for working with some of the most successful business families/entrepreneurs in Canada.
The individual possesses a keen understanding of a professional services practice with multi-disciplined service lines along with strong client relationship management skills.
What you will do:
Acts as a key player in helping build the GTA Family Office practice
Initiates projects by developing project scope, including detailed, task-level work plans and resource, time, and cost estimates, required to successfully implement a viable solution.
Develops high impact client engagement materials, helps coordinate client meetings, prepares detailed family meeting minutes and quarterly and annual client progress reports.
Supports the Family Advisory delivery team in conducting research and development of bespoke assessments, playbooks, methodologies, including. skills and capabilities, leadership development, Family and business strategy, board advisory and succession planning.
Acts as the project support for next generation strategic initiatives and Family Office events/webinars.
Supports the proposal process with the Family Office, proposal team and other KPMG Partners/subject matter experts.
Acts as a project support for the Family Office technology platform and investment reporting solution.
Helps to maintain client prospect lists, pipeline reports and other business development/leadership update reports.
Plays a key role in developing learning programs for the rising generation of owners/operators and various thought leadership for clients/ families
Conducts market research and provides support in marketing/ business development activities, especially with running events, seminars.
Maintains client’s document management system and related technology platform.
Maintains knowledge about trends in the Family Office space, including tools and technologies and assists the Family Office leaders in positioning them as thought leaders.
What you bring to this role:
Bachelors or master’s degree. This may include an undergraduate or graduate degree in Management/Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Psychology, Social Sciences, Industrial Relations, Public Administration.
2+ years of broad scope business management experience in a consulting firm and/or corporate environment. Change Management and Business strategy experience is an asset.
Strategic, operational, social, and financial analysis acumen.
Project management and consulting either within a formal consulting firm or delivering for internal stakeholders.
Ability to conduct research and synthesize data into meaningful insights for the client.
Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners. Presenting to all levels of organizations, both in person and remotely/virtually.
Interest in people-centric technology change that connects the front, middle, and back offices.
Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal/facilitation and client relationship management skills.
Has an eagerness to learn and help grow the practice.
Strong familiarity with professional services and strong network within professional services organizations is an asset.
Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across functions/groups.
Effective, versatile and action-oriented.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
