Full Time Service Truck - Recruiting for a Journeyman/woman Heavy Equipment Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work on a large variety of trucks, trailers, equipment and medium/light vehicles, i.e. 5 ton cab over trucks, tandem delivery trucks, tri-axle flat decks, fuel haulers, skidsteers, loaders, dozers, excavators, etc.
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of problems and faults with a high degree of quality, reliability and consistency
- Read and work from a variety of troubleshooting manuals and diagrams
- Enter detailed and accurate maintenance reports on computerised service program
- Source and order parts
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve quality of repairs, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes
- Communicate effectively with the service team and customers; accurately informing all parties involved on repairs needed and downtime required
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment, adhering to all relevant safety guidelines and protocols.
Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency in electrical and emissions diagnostics
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on own, follow diagnostic procedures and use experience/troubleshooting skills to solve complex problems. Come up with creative solutions when needed and possible
- Ability to stay organised in a fast paced environment
- Ability to operate and coordinate work out of a service truck
- Experience using computer programs to read codes and perform diagnostics tests as required
- Consistent attention to detail/high quality of work standards
- Positive attitude, ability to fit into a family run shop
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license, Class 3 with air is an asset
