Job Description
We are seeking qualified, casual ESL instructors to provide as-needed coverage for our morning and afternoon classes. Note that we have opportunities available as early as June 15, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct students in core English language skills, including listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
- Deliver the established curriculum and prepare supplementary lesson materials as needed.
- Administer and grade tests and assignments to accurately assess student progress.
- Supervise independent and group projects.
- Perform other instructional duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree (any discipline; English, Linguistics, Humanities, Education preferred)
- Certification: A TESL Canada-recognized teacher training certificate, CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, or equivalent (see website at www.tesl.ca for an updated list).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching ESL/EFL/ESOL.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in a Google Workspace environment and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Adaptability: Comfortable teaching in both in-person and online environments.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Cultural Competence: Proven ability to work in a multicultural setting.
- Passion: A genuine desire to contribute to the students' learning process.
This is a casual, on-call position. Hours are not guaranteed and will depend on the coverage required on a week-by-week basis.
