Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced cook to join our daycare. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food service, excellent customer interaction skills, and a strong understanding of food safety standards. The cook will play a vital role in ensuring our children receive exceptional food experiences through efficient meal preparation and attentive service. We would prefer if the cook has Level 1 child care educator certificate.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Serve food to children in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with food handling, ensuring proper hygiene and safety protocols are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling dishes
- Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Follow all food safety regulations to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety standards
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
