Industrialization Coordinator
Location: Toronto, ON
Term: Contract Position - 12 months - extendable
Pay Rate: $33 per hour minimum
Job Summary:
- The Industrialization Coordinator supports the Industrialization Lead in executing Develop/APQP activities and managing the progression of DVI/FAI (First Article Inspection) articles in accordance with the approved industrialization project plan
- This role serves as a key liaison between Methods/Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Production Planning to ensure DVI/FAI articles progress efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with project milestones
Responsibilities:
- Track and manage the progression and movement of all prove-out, DVI, and FAI articles for new industrialization programs
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure alignment with the industrialization timeline and milestone deliverables
- Act as liaison between Quality Engineers and Methods/Manufacturing Engineers to resolve rework tickets, NCRs, QRTs, and related issues
- Collaborate closely with Production Planning to schedule prove-outs and standard operations in accordance with the project plan
- Support updates and maintenance of manufacturing travelers (e.g., add/remove/change operations, update notes, comments, and dispositions as directed by Manufacturing Engineering)
- Schedule and coordinate prove-out activities, including inspection, with planners and Manufacturing/Shop Team Leaders
- Organize and facilitate Industrialization Level 1 meetings, milestone reviews, and APQP/Develop meetings to track DVI article progress and milestone completion
- Provide ongoing support to the Industrialization Lead throughout all stages of the Develop/APQP lifecycle
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Quality, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Understanding of configuration management and revision control processes
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Working knowledge of APQP principles and tools, including PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA
- Proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Word, and SharePoint
