Britannia Brewing www.bbco.ca is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team.
As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and bev while ensuring that all guests feel welcomed in our fabulous establishment.
The ideal candidate will take the time to learn all about our Ales and prove they can understand how to correctly present our full menu before the end of your training period.
You should possess strong customer service skills, have a passion for the food industry, and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing any questions or concerns regarding the menu or dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas, and utensils throughout the shift.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all guests receive timely service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service or guest services within the food industry with 2-3 years of server experience required.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order entry.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are key attributes for success in this role.
Job Type: Part-time and Full-time
Pay: $17.85 per hour plus tips
