Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Diagnose engine, transmission, differential, and transfer case issues using mechanical knowledge and schematics.
- Perform repairs, rebuilds, and replacements on engines, transmissions, differentials, and transfer cases with precision.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as fluid changes, inspections, and system calibrations to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and mechanical work to maintain a safe working environment.
- Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to guide repair procedures accurately.
- Communicate clearly with team members and customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on engines, transmissions, differentials, or transfer cases; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with automotive repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics for diagnostics and repairs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Experience in reading technical diagrams and assembling components according to specifications.
- Valid automotive repair certification or equivalent training; prior dealership experience is a plus.
