AMJ is hiring Owner Operator Home Delivery Drivers
Since 1934, AMJ has built a reputation for premium home delivery and white glove service. Our customers expect care, good communication, punctuality, and professionalism.
We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Owner Operators to join our growing delivery team. We want people who are dependable, coachable, and serious about doing quality work.
Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering furniture items throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas to residential homes while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining safe driving practices.
Compensation: % of contract (will be discussed in the interview)
Requirements and Expectations
- Vehicle Needs: Must own or lease a commercial vehicle (5-tonne truck with power tail gate).
- Registered business/commercial vehicle insurance and CVIP.
- Valid appropriate driver’s licence and clean abstract.
- Professional delivery experience preferred.
- Schedule: Must be available to start at 6:30 am daily (Monday-Friday) , weekends (start times vary), long shifts and occasional evenings.
- Must be punctual, respectful, strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical Demand: Heavy lifting, executing white-glove assembly or room-of-choice placement and some stair carry.
Responsibilities include:
- Loading and unloading trucks safely and securely to prevent damage during transport.
- Wrapping, padding, protecting furniture properly.
- Moving household goods, fragile pieces and specialty items with care.
- Communicating respectfully with customers and Home Delivery team.
- Following company procedures and protecting floors, walls, elevators and customers property.
- Representing AMJ with a clean, professional and respectful attitude with every customer’s delivery.
