Toronto Counselling Centre for Teens is a private therapy practice that has serves 2 Toronto Neighbourhoods: in the west end at Runnymede and Bloor since 2012, and in the east end at Danforth and Chester since 2025.
We specialize in working with teens and families with teens. We are motivated to equip young people to be healthy and hopeful friends, leaders, colleagues, partners, and parents in their future adult life.
We are seeking a Male Registered Psychotherapist and/or Registered Social Worker to join our team of 32 practitioners and admins who all love teens and excel at working with teens, parents and families.
You would be a welcome addition to our practice if you can work 2-5 days/week seeing 4-6 clients per day. As we work with teens and families, we see clients during the week from 1pm to 8pm and each Practitioner is required to work either Saturday or Sunday on the weekend.
We are looking to hire 1 male therapist who is willing to split their time between both locations.
What you will bring:
- Must have experience working with children, teens, and families in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated therapeutic skills and experience with and love for working with teens and families
- Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills
- Skilled training in working with family systems
- Ascribe to a model or models of therapy that are experiential, relational and/or process oriented in nature (we’re not seeking therapists who solely practice: solution-focused, CBT or DBT)
- Practice using their awareness of developmental attachment needs of teens and adults
- Consistent, reliable communication and administrative capacity
Nice to Have/Assets:
- Training in EFT/EFFT
- Training in internal family systems
- Training in relational psychotherapy
- A second language or any specialized certifications or history working with specific population groups
Requirements:
- Designation as a registered psychotherapist, registered psychotherapist (qualifying) or registered social worker (Masters level training required).
- Must be available to work one day on the weekend as well as weekday evenings.
- Must be available to work both in-person at both of our locations and online.
- Proof of professional liability insurance.

- A private practice model of business comprised of independent practitioners who are compensated on a per session basis ($114 per session).
- We provide college-required supervision for qualifying practitioners and group supervision for established therapists.

It is expected that all practitioners participate in team discussions via our communication app, vision process, trainings that we offer and monthly team social gatherings.
