Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Team Members to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to meal preparation and maintaining high standards of food safety. If you have a passion for the food industry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! Shifts will be Tuesday to Saturday’s 1pm to 9pm or 2pm to 10pm
Duties
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized and free of hazards.
- Follow food safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the highest quality of food handling.
- Support cooks and chefs with cooking tasks as needed, including cooking and plating dishes.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of any shortages.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills related to food preparation and safety standards.
Requirements
- MUST have previous experience as a line cook.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and management.
- Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and adapt to various kitchen tasks as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work.
