Some of what you will do
As the Senior Manager, Retail Experience you will partner with the organization to inspire teams to work smarter, learn more and grow every day. You are responsible for the ownership and direction of the Store Communications and Workload Planning & Implementation functions, including all related processes and tools. You will collaborate with key internal stakeholders to develop clear communication strategies to support day-to-day operations and emerging products and services, and define store workload schedule, store capacity and workload implementation. You will also be responsible for providing guidance and support to the Store Communications Manager and Workload Planning and Implementation Manager. Each day will be challenging, fast paced, meaningful and rewarding.
Specifically, you will :
Define and evolve the Store Communications functional roadmap and retail communication strategy. Responsible for the continual development and refinement of the Store Communication strategy, processes, tools, templates, and technology platforms. Continuously evaluates communication tools employed and recommends changes based on need and advances in process and technology.
Ensure timely, accurate and relevant planning of communication of information in a manner that inspires, informs, educates, and drives operational effectiveness for all retail Associates.
Be responsible for intranet including: participation on the governance committee, support via Staples US resources, retail communities and retail facing communication channels. Works with IT and other lines of business on technology solutions required to improve effectiveness and efficiency of store communication and execution.
Evolve Workload Planning Calendar tools and supporting processes to improve store execution through capacity management and implementation planning. Responsible for monitoring and managing store workload through the timely and appropriate scheduling of major tasks, working in partnership with stakeholders to understand priorities.
Partner with home office departments and retail operations to define store workload, implementation plans, streamline communication and ensure adherence to operational best practices to deliver executable programs that enhance store profitability.
Support key internal stakeholders with the creation and finalization of Workload Planning Intake forms, development of pre-launch activities and planning (e.g., retail stakeholder analysis
Provide store impact analyses and mitigation plans, review of retail communication and training plans, completion of initiative capacity score, workload balancing
Some of what you need
Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent work-related experience is required
3 – 4 years’ experience in a communications position within a large, multi-unit retail company is required.
5-7 years of progressive Operations Management experience is required.
Demonstrated Project Management and Change Management Skills required
Strong PC skills coupled with experience in Microsoft products are required.
Strong web design and database development experience are required.
