Our highly skilled and experienced occupational therapists and kinesiologists provide assessments and treatments to assist clients overcome disability, fatigue, pain and improve activities of daily living.
Who We Work With
Swift Health allows you to work with a variety of client types or focus on a certain area only. It is up to you! Many of our OTs take on clients from several streams, while others focus on working in a particular area only, like pediatrics.
At Swift Health we provide in-clinic and community-based OT services.
- MVA/WCB: Clients of all demographics who have been injured in motor vehicle or workplace injuries. They can be physical injuries, brain injuries or mental health.
- Pediatrics: We work with children of various age groups and with various diagnoses.
- Seniors: We provide various home assessments to seniors in our communities
- Businesses/Public: We provide services such as ergonomic assessments for businesses and people in the public.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for completing various assessments for clients including worksite assessments, ergonomic assessments, wheelchair assessments, safety/attendant care assessments, and hospital discharge assessments.
- Complete reports with recommendations to assist clients in increasing independence in Activities of Daily Living and instrumental Activities of Daily Living.
- Provided case management services for clients, communicating with necessary parties including insurers, health professionals, clients, and lawyers
- Coordinating and implementing gradual return-to-work plans with employers and health professionals to ensure success
- Completion of Progressive Goal Attainment Program and Cogmed Working Memory Training with clients deemed appropriate
- Provide pediatric occupational therapy services to children and youth with developmental and rehabilitation needs. Perform assessments and provide interventions to facilitate improved engagement in daily activities through implementation of therapeutic activities encompassing: play/social skills, fine and gross motor development, sensory processing, visual motor integration, self-care and feeding skills.

Requirements
- A university degree in Occupational Therapy
- Eligible to register with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector checks.
- Comfortable using a paperless cloud-based solution for all work

Your Earnings
Your pay can be structured in a range of ways. Currently, we hire occupational therapists as full-time or part-time employees and full-time or part-time contractors.
Salaried Employees
As an employee, you must work several hours per week/month. You are paid a fixed salary bi-weekly. You also qualify for various yearly and weekly bonuses. You may also work as an hourly employee.
Independent Contractor
Independent contracting is also an option. We can pay a fixed hourly rate or a percentage of the total billings. Contractors are also given yearly, and monthly bonuses based on performance.
Base pay starts at $73.20 including for new graduates.
