Overview
We are seeking to add a new vision therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support patient well-being, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized treatment plans. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong commitment to patient care. Prior experience working with children is preferred.
- We are looking to hire full-time for this position.
- The hours for this role 5 days per week, working Tuesday to Saturday (September through June) and Monday-Friday (July and August) .
Responsibilities
- Working one-on-one with our vision therapy patients providing them instruction and guidance on vision therapy activities
- Our patient demographic is primarily school-age children, but we also work extensively with adult TBI and post-stroke patients.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust therapeutic approaches accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all sessions and treatment plans.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines, confidentiality policies, and safety standards within the clinical setting.
Requirements
- Experience in working one-on-one with patients, especially children
- Background education Kinesiology, early childhood education, teaching or therapy related fields.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about advancements in vision therapy practices.
- Compassionate approach with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00-$22.00 per hour
