Are you Reion Accounting's newest Rock Star? Our firm is looking to add an Accounting Technician to join our energetic team of young professionals.
We are looking for a candidate who exhibits strong customer service skills and is passionate about small business and entrepreneurship. You are an individual who can adapt quickly, work under pressure while managing tight deadlines.
The duties and obligations of an Accounting Technician within our firm includes a high level of data entry (repetitive task) and coding of transactions along with Quality Control for junior level staff members. This position is very fast paced and allows you to hone your skill set surrounding all aspects of Full Cycle accounting.
You will have the opportunity to apply your skills and assist with managing a set number of clientele in all facets of industry i.e.: construction, dry-cleaning, catering etc. You will be responsible in managing specific client filing deadlines such as GST and payroll along with assisting clients with their every day questions regarding their business and how it relates to their books.
In this capacity, our qualified team member is responsible for the following:
· Data Entry Bookkeeping Functions using Xero & Hubdoc (experience required)
· Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation(s)
· Accounts Receivable/Payable Reconciliations
· Prepaid Insurance (calculation)
· Prepaid Expenses
· Corporate/Provincial tax instalments (verify, how to reconcile this)
· GST reconciliation & Filing
a. Quarterly and Annually
· Corporate Tax estimations
· Payroll Calculations
· Source Deduction Calculations and Reconciliations
· T4 preparation
· T5018 Preparation
· Shareholders loan accounts
a. Cash, Credit, Capital Investment
· Preparation of the Accounting working paper file
· Notes to the File
