Our client, an innovative leader in sustainable agriculture, is seeking a Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. As a Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting the Food Safety and Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician
Location: King City, Ontario
Pay Range: $24.00/hour
Shift: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week, Tuesday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
What's the Job?
- Maintain and support the Food Safety and Quality Management Program through monitoring, verification, and audits
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the SQF program
- Conduct pre-operational and ATP swab checks in production areas
- Verify sanitation procedures and ensure hygienic production conditions
- Support internal, third-party, and regulatory audit preparation and execution
What's Needed?
- Diploma or degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Agriculture, or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in food safety, QA, or HACCP-based roles
- Strong understanding of HACCP and prerequisite programs
- Familiarity with CanadaGAP, SQF, or other GFSI certification systems
- Ability to interpret and apply food safety standards in operations
