We are a spray fireproofing, insulation, and waterproofing company looking for hard working individuals who are interested in participating in an apprenticeship program as a Spray Fireproofing / Insulation or Waterproofing Technician. All training will be provided, some construction experience is an asset but all candidates will be considered.
This trade consists of working within both the commercial and residential sector on a multitude of projects. Successful candidates will learn over time how to fully operate spray equipment inclusive of insulating techniques, driving / mobilization to site, basic maintenance of equipment, code principals, and managing a small team.
Hourly Rate: $26.40 / hr. ($24.00 + $2.40 vacation pay on each cheque for total of $26.40)
Benefits available for long-term employees once Journeyman level has been reached, to be discussed.
Hours: Full-time (35-50 hours per week)
Location: Job site locations will be throughout the lower mainland.
What you will need to provide: Hard Hat, Work Boots, Reflective Vest
Position requirements:
- Clean shaven. All applicants will need to be comfortable being fully clean shaven as wearing a respirator is required per Work Safe standards while spraying.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to learn to drive 3-ton and 5-ton box trucks.
- Must be punctual, consistently present, and on time.
- Must have a working cell phone for communication.
- A strong ability to read and interpret work orders and instructions in English.
- Physically fit.
- An ability to work required hours. Typical shifts are from 7:00am - 3:30pm, with possible overtime.
