Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, the Procurement Manager will lead our Purchasing, Planning and Logistic departments at our Scarborough location. M
Our Procurement Manager engages in many aspects of supply chain including:
Supply Chain (Procurement, Planning, and Logistics):
- Responsible for collaboration with the Director, Supply Chain to manage the overall procurement strategy plan.
- Responsible for leading procurement activities, procurement plans, KPIs, and procurement execution with internal and external stakeholders.
- Defining MOQs and EOQs for all internal and external vendors (customer's vendors) according to our needs, costing, shelf life and warehouse space constraints.
- Responsible for negotiation and tracking of commodity contracts to achieve the best overall contractual agreement.
- Work with third-party vendors to ensure business continuity, including creating secondary vendor sources program.
- Source freight forwarding and logistics different options to build a solid Logistic process.
- Ensures procurement KPIs, self-assessments and vendor performance scorecards are completed.
Warehouse:
- Support processes that ensure proper inventory levels and identify slow-moving or idle materials
- Support processes that minimize material age risk, especially on short-shelf life materials (e.g. eggs, yeast, milk, cream cheese, etc.)
- Work with the warehouse team to ensure tight controls are in place to track receipt and inventory counts of IREP-eligible materials (e.g. Butter and Cream Cheese).
Finance:
- Responsible for payment terms, discounts and rebates with all vendors
- Responsible for understanding the 'total landed cost' of materials (i.e. purchase cost, freight cost, duties, clearance, etc...) and ensuring that these costs are accurately reflected in existing and future pricing models.
Quality:
- Support screening and setup of new vendors
- Build and follow all policies and codes of conduct with third-party vendors.
- Support prompt resolution of material quality issues (directly-purchased and customer-supplied)
Commercial:
- Responsible for strategic sourcing for NEW materials on commercial projects.
- Responsible for ongoing communication/alignment of commodity contracts with key customer counterparts (i.e. commodity buyers)

Job Requirements
- 5 -7 years of experience as a Procurement leader is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in management, supply chain, and/or engineering is required. Higher education is an asset.
- Able to demonstrate organizational time management and decision-making skills.
- Able to work individually and as a team member able to safely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication, computer (SAP, WMS, and MS Office package), and troubleshooting skills are required.
- Flexible to lead a 24/7 organization that is critical to the success of the bakery and the business unit.

Health and Safety
