A qualified Part-Time Academic is needed to teach the following course from Oct 25th to Dec 9th, 2026. Class is delivered online in the Fall semester on Tuesdays from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm (approximately). This is an MBA elective open to Faculty of Management graduate students across program streams.
Global Financial Institutions is an introduction to the world of global finance. It has been designed to give a theoretical background to topics such as financial institutions, bank management, financial regulation, and financial crises. Throughout the course, application to real-life examples will be used extensively. By the end of the course, students are expected to have an understanding of historical patterns in global markets and their impact on current events. Also it is expected that by the end of this class, students are able to connect seemingly unrelated events in global markets and institutions and identify how they are impacted by similar factors.
This is a position with a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, excellent communication and dedication to student success. The Part-Time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation. The part-time academic should be available for class lectures and two hours per week for consultation with students. Additional meetings with the team of faculty teaching MBA courses may be required (approximately 1 hours / month). The part-time academic reports to Dr. Hamed Aghakhani, the MBA Program Director.
