The Role:
The role of the Product Analyst (PA) is to work closely with Product Owners and project delivery teams to assist with the development of business cases, solution exploration, functional testing, and engaging in projects throughout their lifecycle. The PA is critical in ensuring that business requirements are understood and met by the LT organization. The PA also has a vital role in forward thinking exercises, including business capability roadmaps, product benchmarking, and multi-year technology roadmaps. The PA has an overall responsibility to supporting the Product Owners for a portfolio of products in the Pharmacy Management product family.

Key Responsibilities:
Work in collaboration with Product Owner/Business Stakeholders to understand, elicit, analyze, document, and communicate program and platform/application objectives as a suite of stories and / or specifications
Support Product Owner in backlog management and prioritization
Deep understanding of the system landscape, business processes, design, and be able to articulate the risks/impacts of new product features/enhancements to multiple stakeholders and varying levels of stakeholders
Facilitate the exploration of the solution and understand the business unit(s) being supported
Negotiate effectively with business to clarify needs vs. wants and likes in order to balance business direction / requirements with cost of development
Collaborate with the Product Owner/Business Stakeholder to define the value of Minimum Viable Product and lead the breakdown of epics into user stories
Partner with the delivery teams to lead the definition of the overall testing approach and develop test scripts
Act as a catalyst for continuous improvement by working with the team to prioritize defects and support resolution as required
Become the central point of contact for business / functional knowledge and ensure product team members have the necessary information to complete their activities. Able to identify and mitigate risks, issues, and roadblocks

Core Skills and Behaviours

Understanding of the national pharmacy landscape and key market trends that may impact the Program
Knowledge of product development processes and software development life cycle
Actively demonstrate problem solving and facilitation expertise to make feasible recommendations, and guide the business stakeholder conversations on the "what" of possible solutions, in detail, so that the delivery team can then deliver the "how" of the solution
Lead creative problem solving (e.g. design thinking) and other collaborative problem-solving processes.
Collaborate with business and other stakeholders to identify business needs, and capture and present business needs as epics / user stories
Lead with agile values and principles and enable team collaboration in bringing continuous value and evolving the maturity of agile practices
Apply principles of Business process redesign (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)
Demonstrate strong consultative skills, presents ideas in a clear and concise manner, tailor communication style and messaging to the audience
The ability to work independently on small-mid sized projects with low to moderate degrees of complexity
The ability to build, direct, and influence stakeholders and project teams

Experience and additional qualifications areas are an asset:
Experience with application management and the systems development lifecycle
Experience in strategic, tactical, operational, and organizational planning
Technical experience with cloud and/or hybrid solutions
Experience with automation and writing automation scripts
Leveraging test frameworks for automation of functional/non-functional, regression and risk-based testing

Experience using JIRA
IIBA Level 2 or higher certification is considered an asset
