Job Description : Solomon College is looking for qualified ESL instructors to teach a number of language classes ranging from CLB 1-5 in our Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program. There are part time, full time, and causal positions available.
Expected teaching hours: Monday - Thursday, 9:00AM - 2:30 PM
Required Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Previous ESL or LINC teaching experience
- Recognized TESOL certificate
- Experience working with adult ESL learners in Canada or abroad.
- Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Strong computer skills (e.g., Webex, Microsoft Suite, Google Applications).
- Experienced teaching online and in-person classes.
Additional Desirable Skills:
- Understanding of Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) levels
- Experience with PBLA and TBLT a definite asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving and judgment skills
- Familiarity with newcomer settlement needs
