MHCombiotic Inc. is a Canadian life sciences company and University of Calgary spin-off developing innovative antimicrobial technologies for wound care.
Our ComBatic™ antimicrobial wound care products are Health Canada licensed Class II medical devices, and we are expanding their commercial introduction and clinical adoption across Canada.
We are building a hands-on commercial team to engage healthcare professionals, support product adoption, gather field insights, and establish strong relationships with wound care stakeholders throughout British Columbia.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Commercial & Marketing Associate to help develop the British Columbia market for ComBatic™.
This is not a purely digital marketing or administrative position. It is a field-based commercial role combining healthcare professional engagement, business development, clinical education support, market research, and marketing execution.
The successful candidate will develop relationships with wound care clinics, hospitals, long-term care facilities, home-care organizations, pharmacies, distributors, and other healthcare stakeholders. You will work closely with company leadership and the national commercial team while taking ownership of local outreach and follow-up.
Key ResponsibilitiesHealthcare Professional and Account Engagement
- Identify and engage wound care clinics, hospitals, long-term care facilities, home-care organizations, pharmacies, and other potential accounts
- Build professional relationships with nurses, physicians, wound care specialists, procurement teams, clinical leaders, and healthcare decision-makers
- Schedule and coordinate introductory meetings, product presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and follow-up discussions
- Support approved product education and communicate product information accurately and professionally
- Follow up with clinicians and facilities receiving product samples to obtain structured feedback and support appropriate next steps
- Maintain consistent communication with prospective and existing accounts
Commercial and Business Development
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective healthcare accounts throughout British Columbia
- Support early product adoption and account conversion
- Identify potential clinical champions, distribution partners, institutional opportunities, and regional collaborations
- Assist with commercial proposals, account planning, and customer follow-up
- Support distributor relationships and coordinate local commercial activities when required
- Record activities, meetings, opportunities, and follow-ups accurately in the company’s CRM system
Marketing and Market Development
- Help adapt national marketing initiatives for the British Columbia market
- Support the development and refinement of brochures, presentations, clinical materials, digital content, and event materials
- Assist with conferences, educational programs, trade shows, professional meetings, and local marketing initiatives
- Gather insights from healthcare professionals to help refine product positioning, messaging, and commercial strategy
- Monitor competing products, market pricing, healthcare trends, and emerging wound care opportunities
Field Insights and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collect structured feedback regarding product use, workflow, customer experience, and unmet needs
- Communicate field observations to the commercial, medical, regulatory, and leadership teams
- Assist with approved real-world product feedback and documentation initiatives
- Participate in regular team meetings, territory planning, training, and performance reviews
- Ensure all external communications remain consistent with approved product claims and company policies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, marketing, life sciences, healthcare, communications, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence engaging healthcare professionals and organizational decision-makers
- Demonstrated organizational, follow-up, and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a developing territory
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment with evolving priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, and virtual meeting tools
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable access to transportation for local field activities
- Ability to travel regularly throughout Metro Vancouver and elsewhere in British Columbia as needed
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, wound care, healthcare sales, clinical outreach, or healthcare marketing
- Experience engaging hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, home-care organizations, pharmacies, or healthcare professionals
- Familiarity with the British Columbia healthcare system
- Knowledge of wound care, infection prevention, antimicrobial products, or medical device commercialization
- Experience with territory management, CRM documentation, product demonstrations, or healthcare conferences
Direct wound care or medical device experience is an advantage but is not mandatory. Candidates with strong healthcare exposure, commercial ability, and the willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
