We are looking for a System Administrator to join our team!
Under the supervision of the IT Director, the IT System Administrator ensures optimal functioning of computer equipment and performs various types of analyses. You will ensure follow-up on completion of IT services and requests for information, as well as provide assistance to users. You will manage assigned projects and attend, if necessary, the meetings required to ensure projects are running smoothly. You will conduct research on new products that better meet the needs of new environments and participate in their installation, according to direction from the IT Director and Executives.
About the role:
Ensure server administration and optimal operation of computer equipment
Maintain contact with users in order to identify their needs
Ensure access to information for authorized users
Schedule and coordinate necessary meetings to ensure the smooth execution of projects assigned to him/her
Closely participate in the optimization of computer equipment and ensure its continual operation
Manage the telephone system across all sites
Perform server maintenance (back-ups, updates, etc.)
Coordinate network access. Manage user accounts from their creation when new employees arrive to their destruction when they leave
In collaboration with the network administrator, ensures administration, maintenance, and follow-up of the alarm system policy, works closely with the supplier
Control and monitor email usage, web browsing and installed software
Provides after-hours production support
Performs problem analysis, evaluation of different solutions and submits a recommendation to his/her supervisor
Performs activities related to the implementation of new systems or the optimization of existing systems, according to established standards
Verifies procurement requests and prepares requisitions when required
Develops the methods, standards and procedures as well as the means of control to be implemented to ensure proper functioning of systems, equipment and services
Develops training content or conducts the necessary research according to user needs
Ability to work with internal clients and manage their expectations
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
Analytical skills for technical problems and good communicator
Organizational skills, creativity, team spirit, versatility, and attention to detail
