Position Description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Journeyman Welder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality GTAW (TIG) welding on light gauge steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components used in the production of manufactured products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Afternoon Shift : 3:00PM- 11:30PM - Monday to Friday
Additional TIG premium available for welders with current hands-on TIG welding skills and experience.
Duties
- Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on light gauge steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Fabricate, assemble, and weld components to quality specifications.
- Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances.
- Perform grinding, finishing, and polishing as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet manufacturing schedules and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a TIG Journeyman Welder with a strong background in manufacturing or construction settings.
- Certification as a Journeyman Welder with demonstrated proficiency in TIG welding; MIG welding experience is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with rigging, crane operation, machining processes, and blueprint reading.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Experience working with schematics and technical drawings for assembly or ductwork projects.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding, rigging, crane operation, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Construction experience or background in manufacturing environments preferred; forklift certification is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team during afternoon shifts.

Pay: $41.00 per hour
