Position: Part-time Building Maintenance & Repair Personnel

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks.
- Complete scheduled and emergency maintenance requests on a wide variety of specialized equipment.
- Carry out general structural maintenance and semi-skilled trade work.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to the established program schedule.
- Provide a wide variety of support services to other departments.
- Provide expertise and assistance regarding casino facilities and equipment to internal and external parties.
- Carry out regular exterior maintenance, weather permitting, including maintaining the lawn, picking up garbage, maintaining signage, snow removal, and related duties.
- Help maintain a clean and safe casino environment for staff and guests.
- Take direction from management as required.
Key Working Relationships
The Maintenance Person will work closely with the Facilities and Office Manager, as well as the management team. This position requires the ability to communicate clearly, work independently, be a team player, and take personal responsibility for tasks and deadlines.
Education, Qualifications, and/or Experience
- Communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing.

- Be able to operate basic janitorial equipment, including shampooers and vacuums.
- Previous maintenance experience would be an asset, particularly experience in a trade related to maintenance.
Working Conditions
Irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, can be expected. Bear Hills Casino & Travel Resort has a smoking area; therefore, you will be exposed to tobacco smoke, high noise levels, dust, and sharp objects.

Compliance with all regulatory requirements applicable to the position is required, including but not limited to AGLC requirements and Anti-Money Laundering requirements as set out in the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, along with all regulations and policies established thereunder by Canada and FINTRAC.
Pay: $24.00 per hour
