At Cioffis we can offer a unique opportunity to work in the restaurant industry with daytime shifts. We are all about work life balance and can provide the restaurant lifestyle with a regular life schedule. We offer a flexible schedule across all 7 days of the week, with varying start times. Shifts typically finish before 7:00 PM.
As a Cook at Cioffi’s, you will be responsible for the daily preparation and execution of menu items in accordance with established recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations. This role plays a key part in delivering consistently excellent food while maintaining a clean, organized, and collaborative kitchen environment.We are looking for a skilled, dependable cook with a passion for Italian cuisine, quality ingredients, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes
- Stock, organize, and prep assigned workstation for each shift
- Maintain food quality, freshness, consistency, and presentation standards
- Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures (FIFO)
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health regulations
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Assist with daily cleaning duties and end-of-shift breakdowns
- Deliver professional, high-quality customer service
- Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
What You Have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar cooking role
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Proven commitment to quality, consistency, and cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Flexible schedule across all 7 days of the week, with varying start times. Shifts typically finish before 7:00 PM.
- Valid Food Safe Certificate
- Valid BC Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing 20 lbs +
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a kitchen environment
