Human Resource Consultant
Saint John, NB
Key Responsibilities:
Lead/facilitate the communication and delivery of core HR programs, including Performance Planning and Management, Employee Development, Succession Planning, Employee Engagement, Role Profiling and Health & Wellness.
Provide consultation to people managers on the interpretation, application, and adaptation of HR programs, policies and procedures.
Identify people issues, recommend solution and assist in the implementation of these solutions.
Work with Team Leads to understand business unit objectives and contribute to implementation of people related continuous improvement initiatives.
Counsel employees and managers on issues that may arise.
Escalate issues to Senior Leadership or engage appropriate resources when additional expertise is required.

Required Skill Set:
Previous HR Generalist experience
Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of applicable federal and government employment standards and legislation
Ability to build strong working relationships
Coaching and negotiation skills and experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Analytical thinking coupled with strong business acumen
Professional HR designation e.g. CHRP an asset
Training or experience in Continuous Improvement Methodologies considered an asset
