Job Summary
This position is an integral part of a growing SME that revolves around selling lighting products. Primarily responsible for arranging for the purchase of materials, supplies and services. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain management, ensuring the flow of products from suppliers to customers. They also manage orders and coordinate stock of materials to ensure the company has everything needed.
They're responsible for coordinating how a product will get from the manufacturer to the consumer. They manage the entire life cycle of a product's transportation — how it's acquired, distributed and delivered.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with estimating to identify materials needed to complete each project
- Purchase materials required to complete each project not currently in stock
- Work with the team to manage project schedule efficiently and on time
- Arrange, prepare shipping documentation & track incoming / outgoing shipments
- Record incoming / outgoing products in electronic inventory systems
- Closely monitor the production of each project
- Keep detailed spreadsheets & manage project workflow through online platform
- Consult regularly with clients, suppliers, manufacturing and internal team
- Through regular analysis, identify potential inventory shortages, low levels & future requirements
- Maintained balanced dual electronic inventory, helping to resolve variances
Skills & Qualifications
- A degree in supply chain management or business administration
- Minimum 2 yrs. experience in small business procurement and logistics
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Ability to work in collaboration with others
- Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
- Digital technology skills; Sage 50 Inventory, Trello workflow, MS Teams & Excel, online shipping/customs
- Ability to create and update detailed records / spreadsheets
Assets
- Experience with lighting and/ or electrical components
- Experience in cross-border logistics
- Experience with 3rd party distribution center
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$26.75 per hour
