Secret City Adventures is casting dynamic, improvisation-strong performers for Lost & Found, a five-hour open-world puzzle adventure set in an 1860s heritage village at The Village at Black Creek.
Pay: CA$25 per hour
Location: 1000 Murray Ross Parkway, Toronto, ON
Job type: Part-time, contract, fixed-term
Start: Immediate
Run: Through November 2026
Schedule: Most Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional additional dates
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an immersive performer, you will portray one or more characters, remain in character for extended periods, deliver scripted and improvised interactions, guide guests through story and puzzle moments, and help maintain a welcoming, safe experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver engaging, character-driven performances for diverse audiences.
- Improvise confidently while protecting the story, guest experience, and puzzle flow.
- Learn and retain scripts, character histories, operational cues, and safety procedures.
- Reset and maintain performance areas and props as assigned.
- Collaborate closely with cast, stage management, and operations staff.
- Provide warm, professional guest service before, during, and after the experience.
- Attend required rehearsals, training, and performance calls.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Performance training or professional performance experience.
- Strong improvisation, character, vocal, and physical storytelling skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, adaptability, and a collaborative attitude.
- Confidence working directly with the public and responding calmly to unexpected situations.
- Ability to sustain an active outdoor performance and work in varying weather conditions.
- Weekend availability and legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Immersive theatre, escape-room, museum interpretation, or hospitality experience is an asset.
