Summary
We are seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team in Canada. Based in our office, this role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our company's financial health. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional food products through precise accounting practices.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
- Process vendor invoices, receipts, expense submissions, and payments
- Prepare and issue payroll and paystubs on a scheduled basis
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with Alberta payroll standards
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare AP/AR reports and support payment scheduling
- Organize financial documents for monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting
- Assist with inventory cost tracking and COGS entries
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status
- Prepare basic financial summaries and cash flow updates for management
- Ensure accurate document filing and adherence to bookkeeping procedures
- Qualifications
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Experience with payroll processing and issuing paystubs (ADP, Ceridian, QuickBooks Payroll or similar)
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, or similar software
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience with AP/AR and reconciliation tasks
- High attention to detail and strong organization skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Experience in manufacturing or food production is an asset
- Mandarin is required
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll rules (CPP, EI, vacation pay, statutory holidays) is preferred

Pay: $17.14-$20.00 per hour
