Dental Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator
We are seeking a professional, organized, and patient-focused Dental Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate is warm, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating an outstanding patient experience while ensuring the smooth daily operation of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet patients warmly upon arrival and departure
- Answer and manage multi-line phone systems professionally
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments efficiently
- Assist patients with inquiries regarding treatment, insurance, and financial arrangements
- Verify insurance eligibility and process claims, payments, and estimates
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Coordinate with clinical team members to optimize schedule flow and patient experience
- Complete patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
- Perform administrative duties including data entry, filing, scanning, and correspondence
- Support practice growth through excellent patient communication and relationship building
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office is preferred
- Experience with Dentrix is strongly preferred; familiarity with Epic is considered an asset
- Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance processes, and treatment coordination
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a patient-facing role
