Overview: You will play a crucial role in the repair and restoration of large vehicles and equipment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring these heavy-duty vehicles are structurally sound, safe to operate, and aesthetically appealing. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a team of skilled professionals to uphold high-quality standards.
Main Functions: To repair the vehicle as quickly as possible in a safe and quality manner, with a fit and finish that meets or exceeds the original factory fit and finish. The end result should be an invisible repair. Each technician is expected to maintain Fraser River Paint & Body Ltd quality standards.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Inspect, diagnose, and assess the extent of damage to heavy-duty vehicles.
- Perform body repairs, including welding, frame straightening, panel replacement, and body alignment to restore vehicles to their original condition.
- Repair or replace damaged components, such as fenders, doors, hoods, and bumpers.
- Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to sand, grind, fill, and refinish surfaces, ensuring a seamless and high-quality finish.
- Work with various materials, including metals, plastics, and fiberglass, to repair and replace vehicle parts.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, repair techniques, and new technologies relevant to heavy-duty vehicle repair.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in autobody repair is preferred.
- 3+ Years Experience (Red Seal Preferred, more compensation available)
- Proven experience in Collision repair, with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Proficiency in welding, frame straightening, body alignment, and collision repair.
- Strong knowledge of various vehicle materials, including metals, plastics, and fiberglass.
- Ability to operate a wide range of autobody repair tools and equipment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex issues.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and customers.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Safety-conscious mindset with knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
