We are a dynamic & proud local Manitoba company. We are both a farm and a brewery, where we grow ingredients for our beer such as barley and hops, as well as brew beer and craft other non-alcoholic, value-added, local products.
Farmery Estate Brewery is looking for talented and committed individuals to help us manage & grow our business at the Farmery Craft Beer Outlet location at 2B-2 Donald St. in Winnipeg, coordinate activities with our 2nd location at 177 Isabel as well as our main retail store and brewery in Neepawa, and support our sales staff and retail stores carrying Farmery products.
About you:
Enthusiastic individuals with an interest in craft beer, experience with retail sales management with a passion and commitment to excellent customer service; with capability to do some physical work and learn on the job. This position is ideal for the individual who is looking for a rewarding job with responsibility, with a possible career track to a higher position.
Main Duties/Tasks:
- Responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating the activities of all staff.
- Provide excellent customer service, fulfilled orders online, at POS in-store, and through Skip, Uber and Door Dash/ Deal with customer queries and complaints, assist customers on a regular basis. Finding specific items and correcting pricing mistakes, administering refunds and discounts.
- POS programming duties; menu programming, pricing, changes, platform support
- HR duties: scheduling, hiring, training
- Inventory control: coordinating deliveries, checking inventory numbers, recording missing products and planning special discount offers
- Achieving sales targets and ensure a positive team atmosphere is maintained at all times.
- Register, schedule, coordinate participation for events and samplings
- Systems and logistics, orders, fulfillments (pick up/ Deliveries/ Shipment)- organizing, coordinating the shipping and receiving of products in-company and to wholesale vendors
- Monitor & report weekly sales
- Generate and assist with in-store sales strategies
- Retail store support: visiting accounts, phoning accounts, taking orders, light brand ambassadorship tasks, sales staff support as needed
Qualities/Skills/Job Requirements:
- must be 18+ with Smart Choices card or able to get one
- valid driver's license
- passion for craft beer and local MB and Cdn products
- manage, schedule, train, and supervise workers
- develop and implement SOPs and workflows
- sales/order calls over the phone and in-person to wholesale vendor/retail store customers
- pick and fulfill curbside pickup orders
- pick and fulfill online shipping orders (Canada Post, UPS, couriers)
- knowledge of/interest in online shopping/fulfillment (e-commerce)
- willingness to train in different applications to ensure business efficiency
- very good to excellent communication skills
- dedicated to excellent customer service; assist with customers and answer customer questions in-person, over phone, chat or email
- be self-directed; have the ability to ask questions when needed with the goal of knowing what tasks are to be done with little oversight
- be able to stand/walk around/light physical activity for extended periods of time
- be able to lift/carry up to 40-50 lbs
- be able to work full-time shifts throughout the week; days, some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- inventory control, basic to moderate data entry (familiarity with Excel recommended)
- cleaning/organizing/basic warehouse maintenance duties
- basic pallet jack knowledge & experience (can train)
- overall a positive, can-do attitude!
