URGENT: LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED FAMILY LAWYER
We are looking for an experienced family lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate for this role will be a highly motivated individual, eager to learn, organized, attentive to detail, and a team player.
Requirements
- Seeking family lawyer with 2-3 years, post-call experience
- Graduated from a recognized law school and is licensed in Ontario, in good standing
- Experience in contracts is essential
- Experience Family law litigation is a must
- Experience working with Outlook, MS Office and DivorceMate is essential
- Knowledge with Family Law Rules
- Ability to work on multiple transactions and matters simultaneously
- Organized and effective communicator with attention to detail
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, take the appropriate initiative, prioritize and multitask
- Flexible, client service-oriented, team player
- Positive attitude with the willingness and initiative to support the team
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- A self-starter and multi-tasker
- Ability to be confident, professional, and resourceful
- Good practice management skills
Responsibilities
- Handle daily administrative tasks
- Organize physical and digital project folders
- Communicating and corresponding with clients, team members and other law firms
- Preparing, editing, and drafting, court and other related documents
- Serving and filing Motions materials, Mediation briefs, Pleadings, Case Conference materials etc.
- Familiarity with Rules of Civil Procedure is an asset
- The ability to communicate in another language is also an asset
- Familiarity with litigation is a must
