We are in the process of opening a new, premium Montessori school opening in Summer 2025, committed to delivering high-quality, child-centered education rooted in the Montessori philosophy. As part of a well-established network of private Montessori schools in Ontario, our vision is to create an inspiring learning environment that nurtures independence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
We are seeking a Principal to help bring this vision to life—someone who is passionate about Montessori education, has a growth mindset, well-versed in licensing regulations, skilled in school leadership, and excited to build a thriving school community from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the establishment of school operations, staffing, and community presence ahead of the school opening
- Oversee day-to-day school administration, faculty management, and regulatory compliance
- Cultivate a warm, professional culture that aligns with Montessori values
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to support student recruitment, staff onboarding, and licensing requirements under the CCEYA
- Ensure excellence in curriculum delivery and authentic Montessori practices
- Build strong relationships with staff, students, and families
- Be the face of the Montessori School within the local community
Qualifications:
- AMI or MACTE-accredited Montessori certification (Infant/Toddler, Casa and/or Elementary)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Montessori school leadership or administration
- Deep understanding of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- A proactive, nurturing leader with a commitment to high standards and educational excellence
- Ontario RECE designation is a strong asset
