Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Glass and Sealed Unit Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and replacing glass products and sealed units, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential restorations to commercial installations, utilizing your technical skills and craftsmanship.
Duties
- Install, replace, and repair various types of glass including sealed units, ensuring precise fit and finish according to project specifications
- Use hand tools such as glass cutters, suction cups to handle glass materials safely and efficiently
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure airtight and weatherproof finishes on sealed units
- Conduct restoration work on existing glass structures or damaged sealed units to extend their lifespan
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to prevent accidents or damage
Requirements
- Construction experience with carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, or general building work is highly desirable
- Experience in restoration projects or working with historic or damaged glass structures is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials safely and work at heights when necessary
