Weekend Retail Associate
Location: Midland, ON (primarily) with occasional shifts in Penetanguishene, ON
We are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Weekend Retail Associate to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking for consistent weekend work. Additional weekday hours may be available based on business needs.
Position Overview
This is a weekend-only position with shifts primarily located in Midland and occasional shifts in Penetanguishene. Applicants must be available to work every weekend. This role is best suited for someone looking for regular weekend employment, with the possibility of additional weekday hours when available.
Responsibilities
- Sort, organize, and stock merchandise throughout the store
- Price donated items accurately and fairly according to quality, condition, and resale value
- Process incoming donations and prepare merchandise for sale
- Complete laundry duties as required
- Maintain store cleanliness, including:
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Cleaning change rooms
- Cleaning washrooms
- Cleaning staff room areas
- Cleaning windows and mirrors
- Keep shelves, racks, and displays organized and fully stocked
- Assist customers while completing daily tasks and stocking merchandise
- Monitor the sales floor and provide excellent customer service
- Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions responsibly
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Use ladders safely to stock, organize, and retrieve merchandise from shelves and storage areas
- Identify unique or higher-value items and bring them to management’s attention before pricing
- Follow store procedures and maintain a safe, welcoming shopping environment

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working around large volumes of donated merchandise
- Must be comfortable and confident using ladders safely as part of daily job duties
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a shift
- Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs
- Reliable transportation to Midland and occasional shifts in Penetanguishene
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Retail experience
- Experience using POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Cash handling experience
- Stocking and merchandising experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- General knowledge of the value of clothing, household items, décor, toys, books, and other common retail merchandise
- Personal shopping experience and understanding of the cost of everyday household items is considered an asset
