Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries with enthusiasm and precision
- Prepare examination rooms, surgical areas, and treatment supplies to ensure smooth daily operations
- Handle animal restraint safely and humanely to facilitate examinations and procedures
- Monitor animal patients’ health status, including vital signs and recovery progress, documenting observations accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, treatment areas, and equipment to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety
- Support client communication by providing clear instructions on post-treatment care and answering basic questions with professionalism
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and medications, ensuring stock levels are maintained for efficient clinic operation
Skills
- Strong animal handling skills with a compassionate approach toward animals of all sizes and temperaments
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and pet owners
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a proactive attitude
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities throughout the workday
- Previous laboratory experience is highly desirable to assist with sample collection and processing
