Overview
Brandt is currently seeking a Parts Leadhand for our Windsor Peterbilt location. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the parts department, and performs duties associated with the front counter and with maintaining parts inventory.

What You Will Be Responsible For
- Ensure parts shipping, receiving, and warehousing standards are met
- Monitor employees to ensure parts and warehouse activities are performed according to established safety and industry standards
- Ensure internal standards, policies, and reporting practices are met
- Utilize 5S and Lean principles and practice sin organizing the parts area and related work
- As required, address customer parts needs
- Investigate problem orders, receiving and inventory issues
- Ensure parts return processes are followed
- Help coordinate the annual physical parts inventory
- Check and sign off on transfers and run stock orders (In the Parts Manager’s absence)
- Oversee and coordinate shift scheduling
- Document/deal with employee performance issues as required, and make recommendations to the Parts Manager regarding performance issues
- Help ensure employee training requirements are met, and coach, mentor, and train employees in relevant practices and procedures as required
- Create and maintain a safe work environment by ensuring that company and occupational health and safety standards are met
- Comply with company human resources, expense and payroll policies, procedures, and practices, as well as general labour standards
- Review Kronos timecards in the Parts Manager’s absence
- Other duties as assigned
What We Look For
- Proven ability to organize work, set priorities, and achieve work related objectives and goals
- Knowledge and skill in the operation of material handling equipment
- Must be highly motivated, service-driven, and possess a professional attitude
- Strong customer service orientation and sound judgment when dealing with internal and external customers and employees
- Experience working with a computer system in a parts operation, and working knowledge of various desktop applications
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and communication skills are required
- 3-5 years’ progressive work experience in parts operations, preferably in a medium to large-sized operation
- Journeyperson certification is considered an asset
- 2+ years’ supervisory experience in a parts operation with demonstrated success in employee mentoring, coaching, and development
