As a floor Manager, your role will primarily be a shift leader who supports the team through filling gaps in service, ensuring the safety and comfort of guests and staff, and making all front of house executive decisions while on the floor. You will have to deal with and keep detailed reports of guest complaints and issues, de-escalate situations where other staff either cannot or feel uncomfortable doing so, and promote and maintain a positive atmosphere on the floor that welcomes guests. As a key-holder, you will be responsible for ensuring a clean and efficient close, writing a nightly report, and calculating all FOH tips for the day.
Responsibilities
- Cutting FOH staff whilst considering labour costs and peaks of business.
- Running food (including expo), running drinks (including making drinks during bar shifts or when bartenders need support), seating guests, taking orders and receiving payments as needed.
- Ensuring B.C.’s Serving It Right policies are enforced by all staff at all times.
- Maintaining friendly and open communication with all FOH and BOH staff.
- Facilitating and covering any FOH role for staff breaks.
- Observing and making sure that the quality of our Industry Apizza, St. Augustine’s Main Menu, and drinks going to tables is at our high standard.
Necessary Skills
- The ability to stay calm and organized under high pressure, fast-paced, and stressful situations.
- Polite, respectful, and firm de-escalation skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Cash handling.
- Experience in OpenTable, Square, and 7Shifts is preferred.
Qualifications
- Serving It Right Certification.
- ≥2 Years Restaurant Experience
- (Preferred) ≥1 Yr Management Experience
- Thursday-Sunday Availability

While this position is mainly for floor supervising, we are willing to spread out the shifts with the option of picking up serving and bartending shifts.
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
