Job Summary
We are seeking two skilled Forklift Operators for the afternoon shift to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining a smooth workflow in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate a counterbalance forklift to load and unload trailers.
- Read and follow customer orders assigned by the supervisor.
- Pick, prepare, and stage orders using RF scanners to ensure accuracy.
- Sort products and place them correctly on racks or storage locations.
- Put stock away in assigned warehouse locations.
- Assist with shipping and receiving, making sure products are counted and recorded correctly.
- Follow load securement procedures to prevent product damage during transport.
- Perform regular equipment checks and follow OSHA safety rules at all times.
- Handle heavy lifting safely using proper techniques.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
- Work with supervisors and team members to improve daily operations.
- Attend training sessions for new equipment or warehouse processes when required.
Job Requirements & Skills:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift License is required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including order picking, shipping, receiving, and material handling.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills are required.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
