We are seeking a reliable, dynamic, and team-oriented Program Coach/Leader to join our team. You have to be responsible for leading and implementing our VOLLEYBALL after-school programs for children in elementary grades (K-5) in Port Coquitlam.
Job Summary:
As a independent-contractor you are responsible for teaching the children for each given week. Strong time management skills are required as our coaches are expected to start and finish on time while also covering everything that is in the curriculum for that specific session. When teaching a class, maintaining class order is important, as it allows coaches to demonstrate the skills without distractions - resulting in the kids understanding better.
Main Responsibilities:
· Teach VOLLEYBALL to students in Port Coquitlam
· Teach different drills / practices to kids each week
· Friendly and respect school's staff / parents / students
· Strictly follow school's protocols and instructions
· Arrive on time (15 minutes before each session)
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Must be at least 19 years of age
· A proven knowledge of VOLLEYBALL with at least 2 year teaching experience.
· Knowledge of working with children, social and emotional learning, physical literacy, group management, behavior management, and counseling
· Experience in planning and leading activities for groups of children in a recreational setting
· Current criminal record check (or willing to consent)
- Hours of Work and Payment :
This is a part-time contract position working weekday afternoon shifts (you need to be available between 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm).
- The net monthly payment will be based on the number of sessions attended, calculated at a fixed hourly rate per one-hour session as mentioned above that includes 15 min check-in/set-up and 15 min check-out/clean-up time for each session.
This position is only open to those legally entitled to work in Canada.
Pay: $45.00 per hour
